Beef Caldereta




Ingredients:
  • 2lbs beef cube
  • 3 garlic gloves crushed and chopped
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce +1 tspn soy sauce
  • 1 cup red bell pepper cut into strips
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup liver spread
  • 1tspn crushed chili
  • 3 large bay leaves
  • 2 cups potatoes sliced
  • 2 carrts sliced 1 cuo cooking oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • you can add pineapple chunks if you want ( I LIKE THE SWEETNESS )
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar, optional if you want it sweet :) 
Cooking method:
  1. Heat cooking oil in the pan and fry the carrots and potatoes until color light brown
  2. remove the fried carrots and potatoes from the pan then set aside
  3. In the same frying pan, saute the onions followed the garlic
  4. add now the beef let simmer for 5 mins
  5. add water and the soy sauce and let it boil until tender for 1 hour or more
  6. add the tomato sauce and liver spread let simmer for 5 mins
  7. now you can add the carrots, potatoes, bay leaves, pine apple chunks and crushed chili
  8. add salt and pepper to taste
  9. serve hot with plane rice
